These terms govern the use of this website and the engagement of Quillkraft workshop services. Please read them before submitting an enquiry or booking a workshop.
Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the meanings set out below:
- "Quillkraft" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" — the plain-language document drafting workshops operated from Level 7, Wisma UOA II, Jalan Pinang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- "Client" / "You" — any individual or organisation that submits an enquiry, books, or attends a Quillkraft workshop.
- "Workshop" — any of the three Quillkraft programme formats: the Half-Day Plain-Language Drafting Workshop, the Two-Day Drafting Intensive, or the Drafting Coaching Retainer.
- "Materials" — printed handbooks, reference packets, editorial reference sets, session slides, worksheets, and any other content provided to participants during or following a workshop.
- "Website" — the Quillkraft website accessible at quillkraft.site and its associated pages.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions together with any workshop booking confirmation issued by Quillkraft.
Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or submitting a workshop enquiry, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you are acting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to this Agreement.
Workshop participation is available to individuals aged 18 and over. These Terms are effective from the date indicated above and supersede any previous version.
Services
Quillkraft delivers in-person plain-language document drafting workshops to organisations and professional teams in Malaysia, primarily in the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area. Our three programme formats are described in detail on this website and in workshop booking confirmations.
We reserve the right to modify workshop content, format, facilitators, or venue where circumstances require it, provided that the educational intent and scope of the confirmed booking are maintained. Substantive changes will be communicated to the Client in advance.
Quillkraft programmes are HRDC-registered. Whether a specific booking qualifies for SBL-Khas funding under a Client's levy account is subject to HRDC approval, which remains the Client's responsibility to obtain.
Booking and Payment
A booking is confirmed when Quillkraft issues a written booking confirmation and the Client accepts it. Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are per group unless stated otherwise.
- Half-Day Workshop: RM 580 per group (up to 12 participants)
- Two-Day Drafting Intensive: RM 2,800 per group (up to 12 participants)
- Coaching Retainer: RM 4,650 for the full six-month engagement
An invoice will be issued on booking confirmation. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date or before the workshop date, whichever is earlier. For retainer engagements, payment terms will be specified in the engagement letter.
Quillkraft reserves the right to decline a booking at its discretion and to adjust published fees with reasonable notice. Fees quoted in a booking confirmation remain fixed for that booking.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellation terms apply from the date of booking confirmation:

One rescheduling per booking is permitted at no charge provided at least 7 days' notice is given and an alternative date is agreed within 60 days. Subsequent rescheduling requests may attract an administration fee.
If Quillkraft cancels a confirmed workshop for reasons within its control, a full refund will be issued or an alternative date offered at the Client's choice.
Client Responsibilities
The Client is responsible for:
- Providing a suitable venue (where delivery is at the Client's premises), including a presentation space, adequate seating, and reliable internet access if required
- Supplying sample documents as requested during the pre-session coordination process
- Ensuring participants attend with appropriate willingness to engage in practical exercises
- Obtaining any internal approvals required for participation and HRDC funding claims
- Using this website and its content for lawful purposes only
Participants may not record workshop sessions (audio or video) without prior written consent from Quillkraft.
Intellectual Property
All workshop Materials, curriculum frameworks, session slides, exercises, and website content are the intellectual property of Quillkraft and are protected under Malaysian copyright law.
Participants receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use workshop Materials for their own professional practice. This licence does not permit reproduction, redistribution, resale, or public presentation of Materials without prior written consent from Quillkraft.
Documents drafted by participants during a workshop remain the intellectual property of the participant or their employing organisation. Quillkraft does not claim any rights over such documents.
Disclaimers
Workshop content is provided for educational and professional development purposes. Quillkraft does not warrant that participation will produce specific writing outcomes, approval rates for documents, or measurable improvements within a defined timeframe. Writing development is influenced by many factors outside our control.
This website is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access and accept no liability for temporary unavailability.
Workshop content does not constitute legal, regulatory, or compliance advice. Organisations with specific compliance requirements for written communications should seek independent professional guidance.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Quillkraft's total liability to a Client in connection with a workshop engagement shall not exceed the fee paid for that engagement.
Quillkraft is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of business, revenue, or reputational damage, arising from or in connection with workshop participation or use of this website, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Quillkraft against any claims, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of workshop Materials, or any unlawful act carried out in connection with your engagement of our services.
Termination
Either party may terminate a Retainer engagement by giving 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, fees for sessions delivered and Materials provided up to the termination date are payable in full; prepaid fees for undelivered sessions will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
Quillkraft may suspend or terminate a workshop engagement without notice where a Client materially breaches these Terms, and reserves the right to exclude from future workshops any individual or organisation that acts in a disruptive or abusive manner during a session.
Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith discussion within 30 days of one party notifying the other in writing.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be referred to mediation under the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Mediation Rules before either party may commence legal proceedings. The courts of Malaysia shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over unresolved disputes.
General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding a workshop engagement and supersede all prior communications on the same subject.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure by Quillkraft to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Quillkraft may assign its rights to a successor entity with reasonable notice.
- Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the website or submission of a new booking enquiry following a change constitutes acceptance.
